Description

Our Turducken Roll, stuffed with your choice of Cornbread, Boudin, Seafood Jambalaya, or Creole Pork Sausage, delivers a delightful fusion of turkey, duck, and chicken. Perfectly sized at 5 lbs, it’s ideal for a family dinner or a festive gathering. Each roll can be slowly roasted to perfection, ensuring the meat is succulent and rich in flavor, combining three distinct meats for an enhanced taste experience. Preparation is straightforward—simply thaw and roast. This turducken roll promises a unique and flavorful alternative to the traditional turkey dinner, making it a must-try for any meat enthusiast seeking something new and exciting.

Thawing Instructions:
Turducken must thaw completely before cooking.  For best results, remove from the box, leave in a vacuum-sealed bag and thaw in refrigeration for approximately 24–48 hours or in cold water "Quick-thaw (sealed)": Submerge in cold water, change water every 30 minutes until pliable, typically 3-4 hours; then finish thaw in fridge.

Cooking Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F.
  • Place the turducken roll in a roasting pan and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover with foil and roast for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and continue roasting for an additional 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Allow the turducken roll to rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing and serving.

Turducken 5-lb Roll — FAQ

Quick answers for shoppers: what it is, how to thaw & cook, servings, storage, and nationwide shipping. See our full guide: Turducken Time: The Ultimate Creole Holiday Feast.

What is a Turducken 5-lb roll?
A boneless roll of turkey, duck, and chicken layered with seasoned dressing, net-tied and ready to roast. It delivers classic turducken flavor in a smaller, easy-slice format—perfect for weeknights, holidays, or small gatherings.
How many people does it feed?
As a main course, plan 6–8 servings. For buffets or heavy sides, it can stretch to 8–10 portions. Slice into ½-inch to ¾-inch medallions for neat plating.
How do I thaw it safely?
Thaw in the refrigerator, still sealed, on a tray to catch juices:
  • Time: ~24–48 hours for a 5-lb roll.
  • Quick-thaw (sealed): Submerge in cold water, change water every 30 minutes until pliable; then finish thaw in fridge.
  • Do not thaw at room temperature.
How do I cook a 5-lb turducken roll?
From thawed:
  • Preheat oven to 325–350°F. Place roll seam-side down on a rack in a roasting pan.
  • Roast until the deepest center reaches 165°F on a food thermometer.
  • Time guide: about 1¾–2½ hours depending on oven and starting temp.
  • Tent lightly with foil if browning too fast; remove foil last 10–15 minutes for color.
  • Rest 10–15 minutes before slicing to keep juices in.
Optional finish: pan-sear the sliced medallions in a little butter for a crisp edge.
What internal temperature should I use?
All poultry layers (turkey, duck, chicken) should reach a minimum internal temperature of 165°F measured at the center.
Stuffing & ingredients—anything to know?
Rolls are layered with a seasoned dressing (often cornbread or sausage style). Some varieties may include common allergens like wheat, dairy, eggs, or soyalways check the product label for the exact ingredients.
How do I store leftovers?
Cool slices quickly, then refrigerate in an airtight container and enjoy within 3–4 days. For longer storage, wrap airtight and freeze up to 2–3 months. Reheat to 165°F.
Can I cook from frozen?
For best quality, thaw first. If cooking from frozen, extend time significantly and verify the center reaches 165°F. Expect uneven browning and a longer cook; we recommend a full refrigerator thaw.
Carving tips
Remove netting after the rest. Slice crosswise into even medallions (½–¾ inch). A serrated or sharp slicing knife keeps layers intact.
Shipping & delivery
We ship nationwide in insulated coolers with refrigerant via Overnight, Express, and Ground options (based on your location). Orders generally ship early week to protect transit time. Your roll should arrive cold or frozen—move it to the freezer or start a safe thaw in the fridge. Order early for holiday weeks to secure preferred delivery dates.
Any serving ideas?
Serve with gravy made from the pan drippings, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or cranberry relish. For leftovers, try turducken po-boys, hash, or pasta with cream sauce.

The Turducken Roll was our Thanksgiving standout! We used to complement a roasted turkey and made Cajun Gravy with the drippings

The Turducken Roll was our Thanksgiving standout! We used to complement a roasted turkey and made Cajun Gravy with the drippings. The turducken was a huge hit and not a bit of it was leftover (a true testament in our house)! It was not too spicy, not too gamey; just perfect and a great complement to the rest of our meal. The size was perfect and satisfied our group of 12 adults. Preparation and service was easy and the directions on the package were easy to follow. Well Done Creole Food!

It was great!! The duck was so juicy

It was great!! The duck was so juicy. The corn bread had a little zip that went well with the chicken and turkey. My wife is a great cook and this is well worth the money.

Thanks for creating these care packages with single items for n them for someone who really enjoyed living in Metairie, Belle Chasse, Gentilly, and Algiers from 1980-1990 but had to move for a job. Turducken is very good with the Boudin inside, bra!

The cooking directions couldn't have been any easier and the outcome was fantastic! The mix of Turkey, duck and chicken with a mildly- seasoned creol

Posted by Phil on Sep 20th 2022

The cooking directions couldn't have been any easier and the outcome was fantastic! The mix of Turkey, duck and chicken with a mildly- seasoned creole pork stuffing was absolutely wonderful! Each poultry flavor complemented the other, it was tender, juicy and delicious; better than any one of them alone and seasoned perfectly. I recommend the Creole Food’s Turducken without reservation and don’t expect anyone to be disappointed by it or their fine customer service.

Last year I had one for eight people and at least 2/3 was leftover

Posted by Anthony on Sep 20th 2022

Last year I had one for eight people and at least 2/3 was leftover. With side dishes and dessert, I think it would easily serve thirty people or 16-20 hollow leg individuals. This is basically solid meat.
