The ground chicory is the best for both worlds. I use it with my regular brew to make it mellow and to reduce the caffeine levels. I also use it in the evening alone as an after dinner drink. No problem keeping me up late at night. Great to use it in a drip, french press or tea balls.

I saw Alton Brown make a cold brew with chicory and coffee. After learning more about chicory and it's alternative aspects then coffee I thought I'd give it a try. Totally worth it. The shipping was really fast, and the pice is worth quantity. It seems to be of good quality as well and tasting kinda woody and earthy. Great to drink by itself or mixed with coffee. Will definitely order again

I have been adding chicory to my coffee blend for years. It lowers the caffeine percentage (no unleaded here) with other health benefits and strengthens the brewed taste with less coffee. Great for iced coffee. Does have a slight bitter taste.
