New Orleans Roast 12 oz. Ground 100% Pure Chicory

I purchased this item because it was recommended by a coffee creator on TikTok as a substitute for caffeinated coffee. While I appreciate his enthusiastic suggestion, you should not buy this product thinking it will taste like coffee. My partner and I typically drink light roast (black) every morning and to us this tasted like liquid licorice. I assume it's an acquired taste? The after taste did leave a coffee-like feeling in my opinion, but I couldn't try more than 2 sips. It looked beautiful! The smell was not at all similar to coffee. Perhaps our brew method was off–we used a chemex. If you love Chicory I assume this stuff is great! The problem, I assume, lies solely with our taste buds. The shipping experience was great if a bit delayed, the packaging was lovely and the cost to ship fair.

I make two cups with my french press every morning and it tastes great!

I've been trying to find a coffee subsitute that was caffeine free and with low acidity. Herbal tea was not a satisfying alternative. New Orleans Roast provides the coffee experience without the issues I wanted to avoid. Thank you. Linda Battaglia

I GOT THE 160Z Chicory and it is good not at all what I'd have expected. Only things that I'd have liked were directions on how to brew it and maybe some reccomended recipes or combinations with coffee or teas. Other then those two things solid product arrived on time and promptly was well packaged. 10/10 in my book

I like the New Orleans Roast chicory. However, I am still experimenting to adjust how much to use. When I mix half coffee and half chicory, it is awesome. When I just use chicory (which I want to do to get off caffeine), I can't seem to get the correct ratio of chicory to water for my taste. But I am working on it. I am sure that when I find the right mix, it will be great.

I have purchased roasted chicory from New Orleans Roast three times now and it's always been consistent. I french press it and add steamed milk with cocoa powder (and a brain-healthy mushroom blend) for my coffee substitute and it really hits the spot. I love this product. I can brew it alone or as an addition to my regular coffee. It makes for a smooth yet rich cup of coffee.

Has a wonderful, smooth taste. Great in the evenings for a quick pick-me-up without the caffeine.
