Description

Manda Boudin, a traditional Cajun-style sausage delicacy, is made with a blend of rice & pork and seasoned with onion, bell pepper, green onions, and Cajun spices. Boudin tastes great on its own and is often eaten in South Louisiana as a hot snack. With the casing removed, it pulls double duty as a versatile stuffing ingredient in dishes such as Stuffed Bell Pepper, or Stuffed Pork Loin.


Unit Size: 2.25lb (family pack)


Cooking Directions:

Microwave: Wrap one link in a damp paper towel.  Heat for one minute on high or to the desired heat level.

Steam: Fill a pot with enough water to cover the bottom (about half an inch). Heat on high until steam forms.   Lower the temperature and place the boudin in a pot.  Cover and heat for 2 minutes or until warm.  Do not submerge boudin in water.

BBQ Pit:  Roll the link with foil and heat on the pit.   Or, place boudin directly on the grill and cook until the outer casing is crisp.

Oven or skillet:  Heat slowly until skin becomes crisp.

    Simply scrumptious! We tried it many different ways, by frying, deep frying, grilling or boiling, and every time it was delicious. The only thing when boiling, I had to be careful because sometimes the casings open up and the stuffing comes out.
