I had not had chicory coffee in decades, so this was a nice treat and basically a new taste experience for me. It is surprisingly smooth, bold, but not bitter nor acidic. In fact, I think someone who finds straight coffee to upset their stomach might find this a good alternative. My only qualm with the product is the packaging. I'd love to see it in a tight vacuum sealed package, in a regular coffee bag or can, as the bag it is neither appealing nor convenient, In summary, I find the actual chicory coffee to be quiet delicious and I have served it with dessert and breakfast two times since I've received it. I look forward to incorporating this into my pantry.

New Orlean's Roast's Dark Roast & Chicory possesses the two elements that I need in coffee. First, it tastes delicious. I love dark roasts. Second, and this may be the most important for me, and other coffee drinkers, it doesn't upset my stomach. I believe that the chicory reduces the acidity and I never get a sour stomach from drinking the coffee. It's funny how after discovering a wonderful coffee locally and drinking it for a while then reminded me that I get a sour stomach from all coffee except for this one. Simple way to deal with this. Just order it online and no more sour stomach. Sorry to focus on the stomach issue so much. It really is a delicious coffee and has a very unique taste to it. Enjoy!

Our NOLA-based daughter sent me a birthday gift box that included a bag of this dark roast/chicory coffee. Normally I'd put something like this in the back of the pantry with the emergency supplies for in case the world was ending. But I decided to try it out anyway. What a surprise! It is absolutely superb! I say this as someone who is picky about coffee. We have carried a suitcases of Jamaican blue mountain coffee home from mission trips. We've loved a wonderful cuppa from the Mayan Coast of Mexico. But this tops those by far! Thanks for this smooth, rich, gently nuanced gift to our taste buds.

I lived in New Orleans during high school and was introduced to many wonderful things in the way of food and music. Coffee with chicory was something I heard about but didn’t actually try until years later. New Orleans Dark Roast with Chicory is very good coffee! Try it, you’ll probably be very glad you did!
