I've been buying Leroux instant chicory from Kroger, but they stopped carrying it and I'm so glad they did because now I've found this! In addition to it being a whole lot more fun to get my chicory from a New Orleans business instead of a mega-chain, this chicory has a slightly richer flavor, probably because it's brewed instead of instant. I drink my chicory without adding coffee, so small flavor differences are noticeable. Also, you can't beat the shipping price. This is definitely my new source for chicory!

Anyone who has been to New Orleans and tasted the coffee with chicory knows how good it is. I've tried buying chicory at stores, but wound up with a stale taste. New Orleans Roast sells fresh chicory that brings a great taste to an average cup of coffee. It's the best I've ben able to find. I was trying to eliminate caffeine for health reason and found this product online. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. It took me a bit to get my ratios of coffee taste and creamer to my taste, but now I can enjoy my morning cup again. I found that I can put a little bit in a tea filter and let it steep while I am getting ready. It works great!

I bought 16oz for our home made cold brew and it is perfect and delicious. They shipped very quickly and it arrived impeccably. I will definitely purchase from here again when we run out (which I think is going to be sooner rather than later!)

I bought the chicory as a coffee alternative to break my habit of drinking coffee. It’s great! It tastes nutty and roasted. I added some mocha creamer and it tasted like a coffee hot chocolate. Thanks New Orleans roast for the fast shipping and great product
