Delicious! That's the way my son described the salmon and rice in Louisiana Brown Gravy

Delicious! That's the way my son described the salmon and rice in Louisiana Brown Gravy. So simple to make and lots of leftovers. Buttery Creole gravy mixed with precooked rice and cut up salmon makes for an awesome dinner. This is definitely a keeper.

Ok, I was trying my spin on Mississippi pot roast and my daughter had mentioned to use brown gravy instead of beef au jus

Ok, I was trying my spin on Mississippi pot roast and my daughter had mentioned to use brown gravy instead of beef au jus. So I found this. So I smoked the roast and had the Dutch oven next to it with chopped onions, Pepperoncini’s with juice, ranch dressing packet, Cajun brown gravy packet, stick of butter and about 12 ounces of water and let it simmer while the roast was being smoked. When the roast was at 180 degrees I placed it in the Dutch oven with the other ingredients covered and cooked at 350 degrees for another hour. Ca c’est bon!

My niece visited me recently and brought a box of items from Louisiana. She had included 1 package of the gravy. The is the best gravy mix I have ever eaten... and I have tried a lot. It was so good on mashed potatoes.... after my first bite.. I cried. LOL That's how good it tasted. Soooo I ordered 12 more packets. I plan to give some to my son in North Carolina. gave one to my neighbor

Any recipe that needs a pack of gravy mix, this is it

Any recipe that needs a pack of gravy mix, this is it. Adds an additional layer of flavor you cannot get from any other gravy packet. My family thinks I’m doing something extraordinary in the kitchen, it’s so good. You can even make a pack to serve over rice if you don’t have time to make your own. It’s a staple I HAVE to have in my pantry.

This is the best brown gravy, if I don’t make mine from scratch this is the one I use

Louisiana Fish Fry Brown Gravy Mix is a very good base for brown gravy

Louisiana Fish Fry Brown Gravy Mix is a very good base for brown gravy. I made meatloaf and like a Rick gravy to top my mashed potatoes and meatloaf. This mix with Savoie's Dark Roux made my gravy rich and deep without the need to make my gravy from scratch! Add your own spices to taste and this is a real winner!
