I just add a little water, pepper to my liking and dried parsley...not needed, but tastes better to me.Can also be served as a soup by adding more water and serving alone.

This is the only kidney beans cream style that I have found. I like it over rice and over pasta.

I can't find Blue Runner Creole Cream Style Red Beans in Chicago, but I bought them on a vacation and fell in love

I can't find Blue Runner Creole Cream Style Red Beans in Chicago, but I bought them on a vacation and fell in love. Now I'm keeping a case on hand for easy dinners. I add smoked sausage and it is a fast and filling dinner for the whole family. Sure, the cans came slightly dented, but I expect that when a heavy box is delivered.

I used to use these beans even when I lived in N.O. Can't beat the taste...add in some onions and garlic and a good hot sausage...serve over rice... and you've got a real southern meal in no time at all.
