New Orleans Roast Dark Roast & Chicory 12oz Ground

I only drink coffee occasionally, at most probably 1-2 days a week and only 1 or 2 cups on those days. I love the flavor of coffee but just don't drink it often. That being said, I love this coffee. My mother was a coffee fiend who also loved chicory. When we visited her sister in Baton Rouge, one of the 'have-tos' was beignets & chicory. I was never a fan of chicory. I found it too strong with too much bitterness. However, this coffee & chicory blend has all the flavor of coffee & chicory but does not have the bitterness. It is rich and smooth, has a good finish without the harsh aftertaste I always found in chicory or chicory/coffee blends. I drink coffee with cream & sugar, which I'm sure affects the taste, but comparing this to coffees I usually buy I would have to say I like this blend better. Definitely one I would drink, maybe even more than I usually drink coffee.

I must say I've tried a lot of coffees and they all had their each separate teeth but this right here has a very special taste to it. Is nice bold and has that strong smelling come from a lot of the ones products. This coffee definitely gets the job done and is very very tasteful.

I really enjoy brewing a pot of this coffee in the morning and starting my day off right.

I thoroughly enjoyed this coffee. Dark roast is my favorite and I enjoyed the bold, and slightly bitter coffee. I hardly put any creamer in it and did not add sugar. It feels like a special treat in a cup and I will look forward to purchasing this coffee.

I was thrilled to get this coffee as a sample to taste. I've never had coffee with chicory before. Chicory generally has a bitter taste which would make one wonder why it would be used with coffee, but when this is grilled or roasted it mellows considerably which then might may a reasonable difference to coffee. I don't think Chicory is for everyone. When I brewed the cup for myself I sensed a wonderful aroma from the coffee, one from fresh ground beans that you just want to inhale. In tasting, there was no bitter taste at all but I noticed a very smooth taste and no bitter finish. It was generally a satisfying cup of coffee. But my friend who had a cup immediately smelled the aroma and asked me "Does this have chicory in it?" When she found out it did, she took a couple of sips and discarded the rest. She didn't care for it. Since this is MY impression, I'll have to give it a stronger rating than my friend would have. My one complaint about this coffee is that I like a stronger body of coffee and this coffee is what I would consider a medium roast and body. I think this is an OK coffee. I had never heard of News Orleans Roast and the promise of other and better roasts prompted me to order 6 bags of other coffees!

I absolutely love this coffee. I had been the type to only use one specific brand. After trying New Orleans Roast Coffee I have decided that this is now one of my go to coffees. I have and will continue to recommend this coffee to anyone willing to listen.

I used this product both in a french press and in a Keurig. Both methods gave me great results. I prefer the flavor I got from the french press. This coffee has amazing flavor and aroma. I definitely will purchase again.

I love it as iced Coffee so delicious.
