Description

Did you know beignets were declared the official state doughnut of Louisiana in 1986? This cultural staple is what most people envision when they think of New Orleans and now you will think of Chocolate Beignet coffee when you are craving your favorite coffee!

Beignets are a staple of New Orleans cuisine and were originally brought to the port city in the 18th century by French colonists. Since then, the beignet has evolved to have several variations with some lagniappe (or a little bit of something extra). These additions range from being paired with bananas to being adorned with savory chocolate.

Now, New Orleans Roast brings you coffee inspired by the tasty pairings of beignets and chocolate that will make your morning brew feel hot and “ready to order”!

12oz ground coffee bag.

I'm still new to the coffee world

Posted by ToxicTwinkie on May 20th 2018

I'm still new to the coffee world....less then 3+ years but I have tried so many to find that right one for me. I love the taste and was completely surprised by it. Lately when I get coffee it seems like I had to add a lot of sugar because it was bitter but not with this one. It also gave me a great pick up, not jittery. The smell was really fresh too. I really do think I finally found a coffee that is for me.

It had a great flavor...not quite as chocolaty as I expected but still good.

I just did not care for this flavor at all

Posted by Coffee Drinking Mom on May 20th 2018

I just did not care for this flavor at all. I believe that I would like a different flavor. There is no bitterness and the coffee went down smoothly. It smells delicious while it's brewing. This flavor just isn't to my taste.

I really enjoyed this as my afternoon coffee

Posted by The Roving Peddler on May 20th 2018

I really enjoyed this as my afternoon coffee. It had a subtle chocolate taste that still let the coffee come through. It made it feel like a special treat for me, an ordinary morning coffee drinker. It would make a great dessert coffee as well. I will be buying this coffee !!

I know the name is chocolate beignet but i found the chocolate flavor to be too strong

Posted by DianainTx on May 20th 2018

I know the name is chocolate beignet but i found the chocolate flavor to be too strong. If I wanted to have chocolate I would've made myself some hot cocoa. I think is perfect if you are a chocolate lover and like to experiment with your coffee. I like my coffee plain and I'm not too fond of adding any other flavors

The best part is that the smell is wonderful, but it doesn't taste overpowering-ly sweet

    Posted by allileigh01 on May 20th 2018

The best part is that the smell is wonderful, but it doesn't taste overpowering-ly sweet. I enjoyed it for Sunday morning coffee, but think it would be perfect as a dessert coffee as well.

I love especially the Light Roast coffee, but since it isn't always available, I use the Medium Roast

Posted by Silvie on May 20th 2018

I love especially the Light Roast coffee, but since it isn't always available, I use the Medium Roast. New Orleans is known for great coffee, and yours is the best.
